Artist’s statement
In "inanimate" subjects the spectator should find no less human and spiritualized than in the portrait genre. Any photo must carry a certain emotional tension that echoes in the viewer's perception. Still life can be regarded as a transition from the objective to the subjective. As practice shows, it is more difficult for a person to pretend to be a bottle than for a bottle to play the role of a person.

Project summary
“Lenses” is a story about how beautiful people are. Even having a hefty list of sins – we are not hopeless. We just need at least occasionally to break away from the screens of our smartphones, catching a lively sparkle of the eyes opposite. We constantly wait for the message in the chat and respond in a second. But at the same time, we do not know how to react to an occasional smile. This series wants to give the reason to the viewer to look at his environment in another dimension, where experiences (emotions) are replaced by color, and close people by jars and bottles.

Exhibition concept
Home is the place we leave and the place we return. This is smells, sounds and colors, which shape the main part of humans’ lives. People are like lenses that let in the light to extend, refracting and radiating it through the prism of their identities. This light is our emotions. Thanks to it, we fill our home with different colors.
Lenses – this is a human story in which the roles of people played cans and bottles.
